Bethesda West Hospital

This project consisted of the new construction of a six-story, 80-bed hospital building of approximately 208,000-square feet and included a central energy plant. The building consisted of concrete footings over vibro-flotation improved soils with soil anchors, slab on grade, concrete masonry unit perimeter and sign walls, a structural steel curtain wall system with light-gauge metal framing, steel beams and poured columns and a built-up roof. Site work included parking area, sidewalks, infrastructure improvements and a new bridge to cross the E1 Canal. Completed in 2013.
