Fort Lauderdale International Airport – Consolidated Rental Car Parking Garage

When GFA was selected to take over the Threshold Inspection and Construction Materials Testing contract for this 4.5 million-square foot $250M project, construction managers believed this transition of responsibilities would set their project schedule back at least one week.

After receiving the initial call for service by the Cummings-Centex Rooney joint venture team, GFA’s principals’ assembled an extremely qualified team of dedicated professionals. Within 48-hours of receiving the Notification to Proceed, GFA mobilized 7 threshold inspectors and 2 construction materials technicians to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport project site. GFA’s prior project experience and technical know-how allowed the project to move along according to schedule. In fact, GFA managed the transition of responsibilities, inspection and testing services so successfully that no delays were incurred due to this transition.
