Hillsboro Inlet Bridge

This project consisted of renovations to the existing Hillsboro Inlet Bridge which included a new sidewalk and pedestrian railing on the south side of the bridge, new traffic railings on both sides of the bridge and upgrades to the fender system. The existing bridge tender house was retrofitted into a two-story building equipped with better facilities and more modern operational equipment. The bridge was also repainted. The estimated total cost for the project was $7.8 million. 

GFA Services
  • GFA provided engineering field technicians and a certified laboratory to complete construction materials testing services for all soil, aggregate, and concrete materials used for the project.
  • GFA provided CTQP certified earthwork inspectors, drilled shaft inspectors, and a QC manager to maintain a FDOT density log book on site.
