As Hurricane Irma continues to approach South Florida as a major hurricane, you need to know if you are in an evacuation zone. If you are in a evacuation zone, be sure to know where your nearest shelters are. Safety is the most important priority in a hurricane. Below are some helpful links to shelter locations for various counties and a map of evacuation zones and shelter locations for Palm Beach County.
Some shelters may require pre-registration, a drivers licence, and a utility bill or phone bill for verification and those that accept animals may require vaccination records.
